Much of my work is inspired by the Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy, which celebrates beauty in imperfection and impermanence. I capture the subtle changes that time leaves on surfaces, creating a deeper appreciation for the everyday. By using textures and aged colors, I create art that invites contemplation and looks beyond the superficial. My black-and-white photography reinforces this message, emphasizing form, texture, and light-dark contrasts, and evokes a timeless, melancholic atmosphere.

My contemplative photography aligns beautifully with the philosophy of wabi-sabi. Wabi-sabi teaches us to appreciate beauty in the imperfect, the temporary, and the unfinished. This philosophy seamlessly fits my vision and helps me capture the impermanence and raw beauty of the world around us. For more information about wabi-sabi, you can read here.

By embracing contemplative photography and integrating elements of wabi-sabi, I create artworks that are not only visually appealing but also offer a deeper, spiritual experience. My work reminds us to view the world with attention and appreciation, and to find beauty in the most unexpected and everyday moments.
